How Sports Can Help With Communication Skills

No matter what age we are, we can all learn a lesson from team building. This concept can help us communicate with others which can be a bonus at work, and help us work well with others.

The saying that “Your network is your net worth” is 100 percent true, and the more people you know, the further in life you can go.

Here are some of the biggest benefits that come from team work.

When playing a sport with a group of people rather than with only two people or by yourself, you gain a sense of confidence. It can be nerve-wracking to get in the game with all these people watching, but pushing throw pays off and you eventually break through to this newfound sense of confidence, which can appear in all areas of your life, especially at work.

The confidence you can gain with sports can grow your self-esteem and make you feel like the world is your oyster. You truly feel like you can accomplish anything, which is a great tool to breakthrough if you have goals you want to accomplish in life.

Playing with others helps you in turn work well with others at your job. The better you can communicate with people and work with them, the more of an asset you become.

Overall, sports can spruce up your life in many ways, and provide physical and mental benefits that can lead you to great success in many areas of your life. It can be difficult to get into sports if you aren’t active but to be honest, it’s much easier than making yourself exercise.

The Biggest Success Blunder You Can Make

Success means different things to different people, but that’s not to say that the process differs in a whole lot of ways. In other words, there are many paths to “achieving success” but there are some things that stay the same, which is exactly what I want to talk about in this article today.

More importantly though, I want to talk about the biggest success blunder than you can make. Why?

Because this is the one thing that determine whether or not a person will experience success.

The No. 1 Success Mistake One Can Make

Is….. drumroll please: Having a fixed, negative mindset; also known as your belief system.

If one has limiting beliefs about themselves or the world around them, it’s going to be a pretty sticky challenge to achieve any kind of substantial success. It’s hard to have faith in something if you don’t fully believe that it’s possible, which is where the majority of success seekers fall short – well, it’s one of the biggest reasons at least.

People with fixed mindsets have a hard time accepting the things that will need to be changed or sacrificed in order to reach their desired level of success. They also tend to accept the new things they need to learn and the challenges that need to be faced along the way.

On the other hand, people with a growth mindset embrace the path that most success requires, which is why these types are much more likely to accomplish their goals.

Hopefully this difference is painfully clear. I know it was for more, but more on that later.

Is Business Easier Now Than Ever Before?

Being young enough to still have a bright future ahead of me, I can’t totally say whether or not it is officially easier to do business now than it was in the past. Guess I will have to call up my Grandma about that one.

Anyhoo, with the rise of technology and the internet, along with people’s interest of shopping online being peaked, there is TONS of opportunity to start a business . Take a look around and you will see very quickly what I am saying. While there may be a large number of people building online businesses, there’s still plenty of room left for more people to have their fair share of the pie, despite how crowded things seem.

With so many people doing this, it automatically appears as though the idea of building a business is easy enough for everyone to do it.

This is true, but there are however some underlying factors that need to take places in order to see success. Those that don’t follow these factors will be the ones screaming that they couldn’t make the online thing work however, many people have come before them and made it happen.

It’s all about perception.  Continue reading “Is Business Easier Now Than Ever Before?”

Can Just Anybody Start a Business?

Millions of people each year dream of starting a business of their own. Some make it happen successfully, some get halfway there, and others either fail quickly or fail to even make an attempt at all.

Sure the idea of starting your own business sounds wonderful compared to building somebody else’s dreams by working for them, but it certainly takes a lot of know-how and hard work. These two things alone can be hard to come by if you’re someone with a family, full-time career and a list of other  responsibilities, but it is still possible.

As someone that took over four years to truly figure out what it takes to build a business, I now know a thing or two about what it takes. And now I want to pass on a little bit of information about what the process took to endure and how you can apply it to your life too.

#1: Set Goals, But Tailor Them To YOUR Life

Setting goals and going after them sounds like common sense sure. That’s nice and everything but if you don’t set goals that are specific to your life then you are most likely going to fail.

There’s a general range of tips people will give like stay consistent, write down your goals and go after  them each day until you’ve reached the summit. Those ARE true, but matter none if the other parts of your goal aren’t tailored to your life, current situation, knowledge base and past experiences to name a few.

What I’m saying is that you can get advice from a million successful people, but if you don’t make it fit your individuality then you may not get the results that you anticipated.  Continue reading “Can Just Anybody Start a Business?”

3 Timeless Secrets to Success

When most people hear the word ‘success’ they usually think of money and status, myself once included.

Sure these things sound great, but they don’t just come out of nowhere. As cheesy as it sounds, success on any subject takes a ton of hard word and dedication, on top of consistency, persistence and patience which is where most make the decision to give up. Success is hard, but that can be a good thing. If it weren’t then everyone would be successful and things would be even harder than they can be now.

I have been studying success for five years now and in all of the courses and products I’ve bought, books read, and seminars traveled to, my collection has grown to the hefty size that it is today; but that has also come with five years of experiences, mistakes and failures along the way.

To kick off Recent Rambles to a giant start, I thought it would be beneficial to share the biggest three secrets that have stayed consistent throughout all of my endeavors.

Important Success Secrets

#1. Skills Pay the Bills

Money is typically traded for something else of equal or proportionate value, am I right? Well the same thing applies when you are trying to start your own business or be successful within the company you are working out currently.

Skills are weapons in this economy and the better you hone yours, the better you will be paid and the more in demand you will be.

#2. Patience Pays

It it’s worth it, it takes time. Again, if success didn’t take hard work than everyone would consider themselves that way.  Continue reading “3 Timeless Secrets to Success”
